Job Description:

The UX Front-End Developer contributes to a collaborative environment where the real business needs of the customer are understood and solutions are developed that satisfy those needs.


  • Work from a vision instead of being solely task-oriented

  • Assist with user research activities (surveys, interviews, usability studies, analytics reporting, pilot testing, etc.) to guide product design and ongoing improvements

  • Deliver low-to-high fidelity prototypes as the project requires; ensure designs follow or evolve established patterns

  • Write maintainable, scalable and accessible HTML, CSS, and JS

  • Manage work commitments across multiple teams by understanding underlying business priorities

  • Work with product development teams to solve complex UX challenges within technical constraints

Collaborate with front-end developers and product designers across teams to advance UX design practice; mentor junior staff


  • Experience contributing to, consuming, and maintaining component-based design systems

  • Experience implementing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

  • Working knowledge of one or more industry-standard prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Invision, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Agile development principles

  • Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC C# preferred

  • Familiarity with server-side technology, including PHP and .NET preferred

B. SKILLS REQUIRED (manual, verbal or mental manipulation of data or things): 

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development

  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Experience with React strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of Bootstrap, CSS preprocessors, and font-based icons

  • Experience with source control technologies (e.g. Git)

  • Understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues and testing

  • Familiarity with user experience design principles and methods
