Digital Realty is seeking a full-time energetic and experienced learning professional with a history of high performance to assist data center operations across the country to develop their knowledge and skills by creating and delivering engaging training courses.

Senior Manager, Mission Critical Training is responsible for creating and maintaining learning solutions for Data Center Operations. The ideal candidate will be someone who has creative and technical writing skills and experience in developing eLearning and/or instructor-led training courses, who wants to have a direct impact on the success of our Data Center Operations.

The Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in relevant field.
  • Experience with CMMS ("Computer Maintenance & Management System"), BMS ("Building Management Systems"), and DCIM ("Data Center Infrastructure Management") systems ideal.
  • Mechanical, electrical & plumbing (MEP) knowledge is essential; data center experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in instructional design, learning and development, or other directly relevant field.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, best practices of instructional design and learning transfer.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan for, carry out and provide project support with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and balance competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
  • Basic familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Knowledge of and experience development content in Captivate, Camtasia, Brainshark and/or basic storyline experience.
  • Facilitation and instructor skills required.
  • International business and document language translation experience preferred, but not required

The Role
  • Design and develop learning experiences in multiple subject areas, including e-learning, webinar, in-person, and blended programs.
  • Program Management and Training Delivery. Work with internal subject matter experts to create content for training programs and tools while ensuring talent programs meet learner needs.
  • Leverage knowledge of and skill instructional design principles and best practices while creating and revising content.
  • Assess quality of third-party programs and content to identify opportunities to replace or supplement existing content.
  • Lead coordination and delivery of programs this position owns, including ensuring successful management of registrations, materials, instructors, and other logistics. Attend or host virtual and in-person sessions as appropriate.
  • Analyze and prioritize customer needs, and communicate program content and developmental timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director, Training.
  • Required Travel of 10-25% to various Data Center Locations.
