Job Description:
ECS is seeking a Naval/Maritime Sr. Engineer/Scientist to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:
  • Provide scientific, engineering, and technical support for unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) development program
  • Providing project technical execution, identification of technical risks and risk mitigation strategies, and programmatic and technical recommendations
  • Candidate should be proficient in design of experiment, testing, and operations for programs involving naval unmanned systems
  • Support full life cycle system engineering that incorporates mission energy budget planning
  • Travel to support program tests, meetings, and other program operational requirements

Required Skills:
  • Current DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Planning and execution of test events at sea
  • SME in the principles that govern the design and operation of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles.
  • Possess an understanding of full mission energy life cycle management for sea systems with a focus on energy harvesting, energy storage, and efficient propulsion.
  • Operational Systems / platform integration
  • Possesses executive-level communications ability (spoken and written)

Desired Skills:
  • Planning and execution of test events under the sea
  • Naval Undersea Warfare experience
  • Experience with Naval Research, Development, and Acquisition process
  • Experience with maritime prototype development
  • Prior experience supporting R&D programs; ability to support requirement developments, SOW preparation, source selection evaluation, and other acquisition program management responsibilities
  • Navy military experience
