Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in working with R&D, Planning, Marketing, Quality, and Global Business Category groups • Directly involved with the selection of equipment and specifying best options for our site-Includes installation and starting up the equipment. • Equipment/Building URS/Specification preparation along clean room design (air changes per hour, pressure cascades, utilities (boiler, chiller, air compressor etc.). • Assures compliance with all regulatory agencies and helps implement procedures and policies • Drives root cause analysis and failures • Prepares Capital Expenditure Requests for new processing equipment • Coordinates the installation and start-up of new equipment • Prepares work specifications and negotiates contracts for work to be performed by outside contractors. • Prepares and submits proposed project reports, current studies and investigations, validation reports, project status reports, project cost, project timelines, project folders, etc.

Skills & Abilities

Required:
• B.S. Engineering Discipline • Minimum 5 years' experience in leading capital projects- preferably in OTC pharmaceutical environment. • Project Engineer experience (selecting equipment/specifying, Installing and starting it up) -list related project details in resume! • Ability to develop, read, and understand PFD's, P&ID's, equipment sizing, conceptual designs, and optimal utility consumptions • Knowledge of cGMP and/or FDA regulatory compliance. • Working knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel), Project Management Software • Above average analytical and organizational skills required • Strong personal leadership skills, good presentation, verbal and written communication skills • Experience designing/troubleshooting building utilities. (HVAC, dehumidification, boilers, hot water systems).

Preferable Experience

• VMS/Pharmaceutical/Food Companies of Employment a plus • Preferable experience with process equipment such as granulation, powder blending, pill packaging into bottles, tablet blistering a plus • Clean room design experience a plus (air changes per hour, pressure cascades, utilities suce as boiler, chiller, air compressor, etc.)
