We are looking to add new talent to our growing Sediment Services team! We are currently seeking a Sediment RemediationEngineering and Design Technical Expert 1 to work in a technical leadership role, coordinating highly skilledprofessionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This isan excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involvedin a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is afull-time position located in our Rochester,NY, Oakland, CA, or Cleveland, OH offices. Remote/virtuallocations can also be accommodated.


The successful candidate will:

  • Be considered an authority in Sediment Remediation Engineering and Design by peers inside the company and recognized as a Technical Expert by industry peers.

  • Act as a primary Sediment Remediation Engineering lead on projects involving one or more disciplines.

  • Make independent engineering/design decisions and recommendations related to areas of expertise.

  • Lead technical aspects of major consulting assignments and may serve as the primary technical signatory of instruments of service such as project reports or client memoranda.

  • Expand the company's ability to leverage their core discipline to deliver client value by developing the capacity of staff to apply the discipline more broadly.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the core technical literature in their discipline.

  • Be actively sought out by staff across the company for technical guidance and advice.

  • Coach and mentor lower level staff on the latest developments in technology related to their discipline based on market and client needs.

  • Actively pursue ongoing learning, and networks internally and externally in technical forums.

  • Leverage their learning to increase the technical capabilities of others and the overall technical performance of the company by actively sharing advances in technology and methods with others in their discipline and practice area.

  • Identify other practice areas where they can leverage their technical learnings to enhance our overall client service and engages other staff to do so.


  • B.S. degree in engineering (civil, environmental, geotechnical) or related discipline (15 years' experience) required; M.S. degree preferred

  • Successful applicants will have a California PE license or be able to obtain a PE license, in California, within 6 months of hire

  • Experience in remediation design leadership for sediment MGP, creosote, PAH/petroleum, and/or PCB sites in multiple states and/or US EPA Regions preferred
