Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to identify and implement business process improvements to positively impact productivity, quality, and effectiveness of the business area and the company as a whole. The Sr. Business Process Analyst will work on initiatives that cross multiple business areas and on projects large in scope. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies and explores business process improvement initiatives to support the business area and the company.

    • Works with business area to identify opportunities and projects, and prioritizes opportunities based on value to the organization.

    • Determines scope for projects to include clear problem statement, expected deliverables, and impact on upstream/downstream processes.

    • Facilitates process improvement project teams, utilizing effective problem solving and process mapping tools.

    • Explores and analyzes opportunities and identifies the most effective ideas to be implemented.

    • Maintains on-going communication with management, end users, and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinates the effective implementation of business process improvement initiatives.

    • Develops implementation plan, to include action items, deadlines and ownership. Holds team members accountable for delivery on action items.

    • Maintains on-going communication with management, end users, and other stakeholders.  Facilitates change management as appropriate.

    • Coordinates decisions based on business requirements and best business practices.

    • Analyzes results against expected deliverables.

  • Facilitates the development of standardized work.

    • Determines most effective and efficient methods to meet business needs, including upstream and downstream processes.

    • Prepares documentation, including user guides, flow charts, etc.

  • Creates and maintains reports and analytics to track business improvements and results.

  • Leads process improvement projects for cross-department teams, partnering with multiple business units. 

  • Manages expectations at all levels in the organization, including executive-level communication and status updates.

  • Provides coaching, mentoring and training to other Business Process Analysts.



  • 5+ years of system/process analysis experience.

  • Prior project leadership experience.

  • Experience working in the business unit; strong knowledge of the business operations.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

  • In lieu of the Bachelor's degree, will consider an additional 4 years of directly related experience.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement related certification (required for Sr. level)

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with process mapping software or tools (flow chart creation, process maps, etc.) a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong technical aptitude.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to facilitate project teams and work with all levels within the company.

  • Natural curiosity and ability to look out-of-the-box.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Frequent travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
