Job Description:
Job Summary:
Join our ITC team to serve as a UNIX/Linux administrator. Your responsibilities will include building, designing, modifying, testing and deployment of new servers, patching, backups, and securing servers. You will also aid in the inventory and monitoring of UNIX/Linux services via SNMP and/or monitoring agents. Assist in the backup environment using Netbackup, Zamanda, and Unitrends technologies. Provide support for deployed open source tools to include Apace, mySQL, Git, Puppet, MediaWiki, and phpBB. Work in a team environment and collaborate with all levels of staff.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of Unix/Linux administration experience. AA degree in related field is strongly desired. Certifications in UNIX/Linux administration, e.g. Linux+ CompTIA, Oracle Linux OCA/OCP, LPI (Linux Professional Institute) are highly desired. Must have experience in the administration and application of systems analysis techniques of UNIX/Linux servers to include provisioning accounts, patching, backups, and hardening systems. Must have experience with open source tools in a UNIX/Linux environment (designing and testing and modifications) to include monitoring over SNMP, inventory tracking, backup tools, MediaWiki, phpBB, mySQL. Must have experience with SAN technologies to include fiber channel, experienced in managing and provisioning storage. Knowledge in backup technologies e.g. Zamanda, Netbackup, GIT, puppet, Linux firewalls, is preferred. Must have knowledge of security hardening of UNIX/Linux servers and vulnerability remediation. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
