Job Description:

Position Title: Coordinator, Materials/Document/Production Control

Reports to: Mgr., Quality & HSE

Location: Atlanta, GA


The Coordinator, Materials/Document Control will assist in purchasing, production control and document control activities for packaging machinery.

* JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

* Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to self or others.

* Oversee the entire process of work given to machine assembly subcontractors by providing bill of materials, models, drawings, schedules, engineering change request and change releases. Maintain open communications with the subcontractor to stay on top of machine build status, issue resolution, shortages, etc.

* Report assembly subcontractor status to the product line manager as needed.

* Assist in purchasing activities. Duties to include managing order confirmations from suppliers, resolving invoice issues, updating price history, sending out supplier letters, updating vendor report cards, working with receiving to resolve goods receipt problems and other related activities. Oversee corrective actions with suppliers as directed by the buyer.

* Audit machine history files for completeness by reviewing required documentation needed for each shipped machine.

* Issue engineering specification review checklists, project tracker and DAMSGARS.

* Manage placing and keeping current Data Sheets, Estimates, Infield Mods, Final Machine Inspection Forms, Parts Shipping w/machine forms, Damsgars, EC Declaration of Conformity, Risk Assessments, Engineering Specifications check list, Project closures, Final Cost Sheets, Order review Forms, Delivery notes, Bill of Ladings, Service Reports and any other documentation from engineering or assembly into the machine history file.

* Overtime will be required as assigned.

* Perform other duties as assigned.


* Four years applicable college or experience in one or more of the following: Purchasing, Production Control or Document Control.

* Basic computer skills - SAP knowledge is preferred.

* Demonstrated timely execution of actions and/or project management skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Manufacturing experience is a plus.


* Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.

* Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.

* Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.

* Basic computer skills - SAP knowledge is preferred.

* Demonstrated timely execution of actions and/or project management skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
