Job Description: Job Summary: Join our Applied Physics Division as an Intern! Support and collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers creating and developing mechanical designs for electronics packaging, hydraulic systems, and data acquisition sensors and systems. Work on multi-disciplinary teams brainstorming ideas, designing, building and testing prototype hardware and creating project documentation; including test plans and reports. This internship is open to Year-round, co-op, or summer students.
Education/Experience: Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering or engineering-physics. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must be at or approaching senior status. Coursework and/or hands-on experience with mechanical design, SolidWorks, Materials Engineering, and Data Acquisition is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications is required. Familiarity with basic machine shop tools and practices is desired through coursework or academic projects. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
