Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transactions processes including controls related to Federal entities.
Review and evaluate Federal financial business processes and financial statements.
Document across the project lifecycle including assisting with scope definition, business case development, vendor assessment, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; CPA certifications required.
A minimum of one year of combined experience in financial management, accounting, financial reporting and/or auditing.
Experience supporting financial statement audits (e.g. responding to audit findings, Corrective Action Plans, preparing working papers with detailed support, preparing for and performing walk through).
Experience documenting and developing standard operating procedures (SOP)s and desktop manuals including templates and best practices.
Working knowledge of Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and Financial Management Circular A-123 (All appendices).
Experience documenting process cycle memos and internal controls including validating/testing internal controls.
Experience with federal financial statement audits specifically, performing walkthroughs, audit documentation and controls testing.
Experience with reviewing, reconciling, analyzing, testing accounts such as undelivered orders, accruals, and prior-year recoveries.
Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements.
