Wonders of Wildlife is currently hiring for a Part Time Educator Instructor. Under direct supervision of the Education Supervisors, the Education Instructor is responsible for leading, instructing, and engaging with guests during a specialized program and/or event appropriately and professionally.
Perform and stay in character at all times in guest-facing areas
Utilize specialized skills in the program being taught
Engage with guests at all times during, before, and after program
Take direction from Education Supervisors and Team Leads
Assist with the setup and tear down of special programming
Provide outstanding internal and external guest service
Good listening skills when working with team members and guests
Ability to work as a team with all departments at Wonders of Wildlife
Experience in working with people of all ages
Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime.
Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business.
Must be able to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties.
Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.
MINIMUM Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:
Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc. will be taken into consideration
Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
