As the Director of Operations, at BearX Daycation Resort, you will be the CEO’s right operational hand and lead the frontline managers of multiple food & beverage outlets. You will help bring the experiential vision to life by building a team of core values warriors who are passionate about relentlessly serving our guests & team. As the operational leader, you drive process improvements that deliver exceptional results to enable the CEO to focus on the future, guest experience & marketing initiatives.
As a coach and mentor, you will continuously engage the hearts and minds of your team, help them envision their future self, equip them to execute with excellence, create relationships based on trust and accountability and encourage them daily.
Bring the Vision to Life:
Seek out the deeper meaning of the CEO’s vision to effectively operationalize it
There is always more work to do than time available – the SDO must zoom out daily to prioritize initiatives, set project timelines & manage expectations up and downstream
Collaborate with the CEO to discover untapped potential and create mystical experiences throughout the venue
Building a Team of Core Value Warriors:
Create a contagious culture by getting the right people on the team & the wrong people off the team
Passionately onboard “employees” and transform their perspective from “employee” to brand ambassador
Continuously coach, train, and mentor your team – onboarding is just the beginning!
Build a culture of high accountability & cooperation to maximize productivity & morale
Maintain accountability – Set performance standards and integrate improvement plans to ensure frontline managers are holding themselves and their teams accountable
Conduct regular meetings to ensure lines of communication effectively flow between leadership, management and frontline team members
Oversee staffing logistics across the venue.
Crush Operations with Excellence:
Lead the leaders across all outlets of the venue to achieve P&L goals
Create budgets, track financials, analyze & present the data for effective management
Oversee inventory systems between all the resort’s outlets
Implement cost controls as needed to achieve positive financial results
Ensure service standards are being executed on & guest experience is on point
Ensure your managers are maintaining a show-ready venue and executing checklists
Work with managers to employ proper safety and sanitation practices across the venue
Act as the liaison between marketing & operations team to implement initiatives
Oversee the creation and execution of training programs & operational standards to equip your team to succeed. Including taking feedback and improving those standards
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high volume, multi-faceted business leadership role
Experience implementing operational improvements, while anticipating unintended consequences of change initiatives.
Strong ability to hold yourself and your team highly accountable
Love extracting the best in people and have a PROVEN capacity to lead & develop a team
Effectively delegate responsibilities and be a good steward of resources
Ability to maintain organization in a constantly changing environment
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to diffuse tense situations & resolve conflicts
Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays on occasion.
Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment
