This position is for an IT infrastructure architect who will design our direction and be hands on in delivering with the team. We are early in our digital transformation journey and we need someone to guide this challenge. Give direction to the team as we consolidate AD, rollout Windows 10, upgrade Windows server environments, move to O365, and more.
Architects, directs and optimizes all the activities for hybrid data center operations integrating with networks, and systems. Provides timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Coordinates with other teams to identify and implement new systems to support business function at effective cost. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 11 years of experience in IT. Familiar with a variety of IT infrastructure concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude within a regulated environment is required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Architectural leadership – Ability to clearly give direction and work on server, storage, end user compute activities. Often rolling up your sleeves and helping with evening or weekend activities. • Working well with others – Partnering with other Akorn Inc. teams within and outside of IT to get work done. • Lead the design and review of processes for new systems. Develop the technical design integrated across the environment • Create architectural diagrams, process flows, regulatory, and other documentation. • Information management - Knowledge of organization's existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management (IM) Methodology. • Database structures - Knowledge of and the ability to utilize appropriate database structures to organize and store data in a particular manner. • End user computing – Determine end user compute options and make sure our teams can excel using their application footprint. • Server and storage administration -Knowledge of and the ability to manage an organization's architectures, processes, and IT systems that meet our business needs. Nutanix experience a plus • Transform business challenges and client needs into technology solution within our hybrid cloud environment
Qualifications EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related experience.
EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 11 years related experience * Minimum of 4 years architecture experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * Project Management Methodology experience a plus. * ITIL Certification and experience or familiarity with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) expected
