Job Description: Job Summary This job is responsible for focusing on meeting daily production deadlines along with agreed upon service levels for our retail customers and internal business partners. Maintenance Generalist is cross-trained and performs all of the following functions within Central Services on a rotational basis: Maintenance, Imaging, Verification of Deposit Processing, Address Changes, Returned Mail, Letter Handling, Customer Request Processing, Escheat and Regulation D Review. Regulatory and IRS knowledge is helpful for various processes. Other functions include rate changes in various programs, system testing, statement rendering and validation along with various control monitoring and reviews.
Participates in daily production activities including account maintenance and updates in the DNA systems. Helps with maintenance requests, processing cases, Returned mail and verification of deposits. Also, processes escheat maintenance, interest posting, maintain closed accounts, various disclosure/compliance mailings, and address changes. Performs rate changes and statement rendering and validation.
Reviews daily reports to verify branch functions meet our compliance and regulatory procedures.
Researches and resolves problems and responds to customer inquiries.
Assists in review of team procedures to satisfy corporate, legal and regulatory guidelines and requirements. Images all paper audit trail documentation for the department daily.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
High School diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required.
Associates degree in a related field (i.e. business management, finance, or accounting) is strongly desired.
1+ years of experience in the banking/branch operations.
Core banking system knowledge preferred (DNA/Fiserv).
