Cardio and Weight Floor Staff - Caldwell
The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.
Cardio and Weight Floor Staff is responsible for creating a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere for members using the Cardio and Weight Floor, building and strengthening relationships, scheduling facility and equipment orientation appointments, cultivating community, and motivating and supporting members with their health and well-being goals.
Must be at least 18 years old. Must have current CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 45 days of hire. Must have understanding of foundational fitness and equipment, basic human anatomy and physiology, and strength and conditioning. Must be outgoing and willing to engage and work with members and other staff in an encouraging and positive manner. Experience in customer service is preferred. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Preference will be given to candidates with Personal Training certification.
Position may include walking and standing for an extended periods of time, as well as kneeling, crouching, squatting and bending. Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs in weight.
This is a part time position with up to 25 hours per week. We are currently seeking candidates with night and weekend availability. Typical schedule may include Wednesday-Friday 5:00pm - 10:00pm and Saturday 6:45am, - 6:00pm.
