The Deduction Analyst coordinates, investigates and analyzes outstanding customer deductions/charge-backs to determine if they are in compliance with the terms of the applicable agreement. The analyst is a key partner with Contract Operations, Supply Chain Operations, Sales, and our customers and must maintain a constant focus on deductions to resolve issues and identify trends that cause deductions to minimize revenue leakages to the company.
Manage and process heavy volume of new customer claims such as chargebacks, rebates, logistics, pricing, returns, shortages, fill rate, ASNs, shipping compliance fines etc.
Organize and prioritize all outstanding deductions and report results and issues on a periodic basis to accounting and sales.
Ensure that the sales team appropriately documents all agreements to both direct customers and indirect/end-user customers such that they can be validated as incurred.
Respectfully dispute invalid deductions with customers and track status of collections on such charge-backs.
Interact with internal and external contacts, including distribution centers, to resolve disputes and logistics issues and proactively take action to reduce future occurrences
Work with Supply Chain Operations to create and manage adherence to deduction management policies and procedures
Align deduction resolution and repayments from customers with departmental goals
Prioritize work for all aged claims, including follow up, resolution, and pursuing repayment.

Minimum 3+years of deduction/chargeback experience required-retail industry preferred
Strong ability to take ownership of resolving chargeback and process issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels throughout the organization
Understanding of the logistics; warehouse; shipping, EDI processes and various trade spend and contracted rebates scenarios used in the life sciences industry, including agreements with indirect/end-users preferred
Knowledge of JDE or related accounting and ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office 365, and other office support software
