SUMMARY:


Holt of California is seeking a qualified Rental Equipment Yard Person to perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 



  • Greet customers immediately upon arriving at The Cat Rental Store. Checks equipment in and out as needed.

  • Verifies that equipment is in good mechanical and safe operating condition.

  • Responsible for red tagging equipment that is in need of repair.

  • Responsible for adding oil, adding air, cleaning, and replacing minor parts and accessories on equipment.

  • Places equipment ready for rent in the proper location and in uniform position.

  • Assists drivers with loading/unloading and unchaining trailers as necessary.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

SKILLS:



  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  


  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.


  • Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.


  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

COMPENSATION


Hourly rate of pay with excellent company paid benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance 401(k), profit sharing, and paid vacation and holidays.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV driving report.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
