This position is responsible for supporting US and Global market research efforts for the organization. The responsibility includes market research projects design and execution in accordance with the marketing research and company strategy. The position would span across all customer channels - patients, healthcare professionals, payers and partners. This position supports the development of strategic, cumulative and in-depth market data analysis, insights and recommendations to key functional stakeholders to drive informed decisions regarding strategies, plans, tactics and goals.

The Associate Marketing Research Manager has a working understanding of traditional market research methods and tools, has a passion for understanding the customer and representing their voice within the organization, is thriving in a high-paced cross-functional environment and finds a reward in helping to create innovative and commercially successful messaging, products and services. Ideally the candidate should have some experience with healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical device industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Manager, Marketing Research on all primary qualitative and quantitative research projects, including clarifying market research objectives, designing research methodology, developing questionnaires and discussion guides, programming surveys, analyzing data, and putting together summative reports (either personally or in conjunctions with vendors).
  • Able to support or lead the following project types: concept testing, product features prioritization, customer segmentation, messaging and communication testing, brand positioning and tracking, product and business strategy, pre- and post-launch analysis, etc.
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders and external research vendors to ensure the successful development of the methodology and execution of the fieldwork.
  • Conducts or supervises qualitative research (focus groups, 1v1 interviews, etc.) with patients and clinicians around the US and internationally (either personally or in conjunction with vendors).
  • Leads the execution of all logistical aspects of research initiatives, including screener development, managing qualitative facilities, overseeing respondent recruits, and overseeing any related administrative tasks (e.g., project proposal requests, vendor setup, invoice processing, document control, etc.).
  • Develops and presents clear storylines with insightful data and provides recommendations by integrating the data with existing team knowledge.
  • Analyzes available syndicated and secondary research and extracts insights relevant to support and enhance primary research projects
  • Identifies common themes throughout all available research data and shapes it into actionable insights
  • Synthesizes information from disparate data sources into cohesive and concise story

  • Organizes research findings for future reference with an efficient source guide for stakeholders.

  • Collaborates and works cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with quality standards and requirements as documented.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of market research experience (either on a corporate or vendor side).
  • First-hand experience with quantitative market research methodologies across new product, brand, advertising and customer service satisfaction areas.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytic skills with experience in quantitative data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, high energy; executive presence
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong project management and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience working with clients / stakeholders
  • Self-starter, able to execute projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong command of MS Office software (advanced user of PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Working knowledge of survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, SurveyGizmo, QuestionPro etc.)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in diabetes space, or healthcare / pharmaceutical / medical device industry
  • First-hand experience with qualitative market research methodologies
  • Ability to present data in a compelling visual / storytelling way
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R)
  • Experience with syndicated and secondary research
  • Knowledge of payer / insurance landscape in the US

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in market research, business, mathematics or the sciences.

Travel Required: 10%-15%

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises multiple vendors and agencies. Carries out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this area.

Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
