Job Description:
PURPOSE: This position will support Treasury activities. The role is primarily focused on performing accounting functions to include reviewing daily cash and payroll activity, month end closing and various reconciliations, preparation of employee benefit financial statements, administering employee equity compensation process and supporting external/internal audits. May be required to provide input to or participate in various projects and will perform other duties as requested. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for all debt reconciliations, covenant calculations, and reporting Review of daily cash reporting and banking reconciliations Responsible for all Defined Benefit Payments and filings Preparation of Employee Benefit Plans financial statements and audit schedules Support annual external audit and employee benefit plan audits Administer long term incentive/equity compensation plans Administer stock repurchase agreements Responsible for computer lease accounting Review of payroll payments Preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations Preparation of tax filings for payroll related items Support cross functional teams and special projects SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not typically have supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Education, Experience and Skills: · Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration · Minimum 3 years of accounting experience · Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Word, and Access · Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills · Performs a variety of tasks · Works under general supervision Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports, and legal documents. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to carry out responsibilities and respond to common inquiries from customers/clients or members of the business community and public. Ability to develop/deliver training presentations to managers and co-workers. Mathematical Skills: Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts like algebraic formulas, basic logic functions such as "if-then" statements, statistical analysis, variances analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory, factor analysis, and have the ability to determine the validity and reliability of system tests. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
