Summer 2020 Market Data Engineering - Website Experience Internship

The Market Data Engineering team provides stock market information to all brands across Dow Jones, such as the Wall Street Journal,, Barron's,, and professional information systems. The team uses the latest technologies to ingest and deliver critical data to our customers through a variety of APIs and web services.

The Website Experience Intern will build a modern web page of utilities serving real-time stock market information to our most popular websites for market data. This opportunity offers practical experience in full stack development, insight into the entire flow of content from inception to delivery, and a fun team of highly skilled mentors.

What our intern should be interested in:

  • Full-stack software engineering, web design and user experience

  • Engaging with a team of mentors in an Agile environment

  • Independently owning, presenting, and delivering project software

  • Making connections for long-term career growth

Knowledge/Experience Preferred:

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, with at least two years of school successfully completed.

  • An object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, etc.)

  • Web based technologies such as Node, npm, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, JSON, etc.

  • Understanding of microservices or service-oriented architecture

  • A plus: exposure to AWS technologies
