About the Position: Our Chemists ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory analytical equipment; performs chemical analysis of final steel samples; performs maintenance and standardization of analytical equipment, completes daily reporting tasks: production, hydrogen, chemistry; prepares samples for testing; maintains sample preparation equipment; identifies and marks jominy samples and performs duties in the Metallurgy Lab, when required. What You’ll Do:
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory analytical equipment.
Perform chemical analysis of final steel samples.
Perform maintenance and standardization of analytical equipment.
Perform duties in the Metallurgy Lab, when required.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Commitment to safety
Previous experience working in a chemistry lab environment with an emphasis on laboratory quality assurance.
X-ray analysis experience is a plus
Valid driver's license
Ability to use computer.
Strong work ethic
Willingness to learn
Will be required to submit to a criminal background investigation. Urine and hair follicle drug screening will be required upon offer of employment.
