Manager, Paid eCommerce & Analytics

The Manager, Paid eCommerce & Analytics is a unique position. You will be accountable for the day-to-day management of a major brand's paid eCommerce initiatives and manage junior Associates, while also operating as the larger eCommerce team’s go-to for performance analytics and visualization through various technology platforms.

You will have all the star qualities of a Senior Associate but work more autonomously and focusing on managing the workflow and various projects handled by the team. You are expected to function at a highly efficient level utilizing advanced analytical skills and tell stories through data to maintain strong relationships with the client.


  • You will lead the day-to-day supervision of Paid eCommerce programs including strategic approaches, bid recommendations, execution details, budgets/accounting and overall goal achievement

  • You will also be the designated team support for data performance aggregation and visualization through technology such as SQL, tableau, KNIME/Rapidminer/alteryx, and/or Python (preferred)

  • You'll develop positive relationships with the external eCommerce community, vendors and technology partners for optimal service levels and results. This includes (but is not limited to) Amazon, Walmart, Criteo and Pinterest.

  • Understand the client’s product, marketing objectives and digital goals with an emphasis on eCommerce, presenting to clients on regular basis

  • Monitor, track and evaluate campaign performance analytics, based on client KPI targets and baselines.

  • Think creatively, do research, and develop tools and innovative tactics to improve efficiencies or advance the practice. Present practical ideas for future marketing expansion or optimization.

  • Actively contribute to Wavemaker initiatives, automation projects, process changes and roll-outs.

  • Build, or assist in crafting, POVs, standard methodologies, and key process documentation

  • Campaign Strategy definition and implementation, working closely with other Wavemaker departments to develop fully integrated eCommerce campaigns

  • Stay current on industry trends, focusing on how changes can help improve offerings to accounts and enhance our overall practice.




  • You'll join us with a minimum of 3 years of relevant eCommerce experience or related media planning experience. Must have a deep understanding of Amazon Marketing Services (AMS). Knowledge of Walmart, Criteo, and Pinterest preferred.

  • You’ll have gained technical skills across tools and languages such as SQL, tableau, KNIME/Rapidminer/alteryx, Python

  • You'll be an emerging expert in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) optimization techniques (ROI / CPA / CPL / Impression Share)

  • Experience meeting with and delighting clients is essential

  • Working knowledge of Paid Display in eRetail is a plus

  • Ambition to manage and mentor junior members of a team; prior experience as a manager a plus

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment
