Assistant Logistics Tech

Assists the Lead Mechanic and Repair Station Lead in scheduling aircraft maintenance considering such factors as work flow, location of equipment and facilities, tools, supplies and job requirements. Assist the Lead Mechanic and Repair Station Lead in ordering of parts, lubricants, etc., in sufficient quantity to ensure minimal aircraft down-time for these items. Assists the Lead Mechanic and Repair Station Lead in the ground movement of aircraft and ground support equipment.Assists the Kachemak Bay Flight Service-Temple Site Lead and Maintenance Manager by performing daily administrative and logistics activities that ensure proper support to the company's flight and maintenance missions. The Assistant Log Tech reports directly to the Maintenance Manager to provide assistance in managing tool and parts inventory; updating reference libraries; maintaining equipment, tools, and parts storage areas; performing Foreign Object Damage control in the Hangars and Hangar ramp area; organizing and ensuring proper storage of paints, solvents, and other HAZMAT materials; accomplishing parts pickup and delivery; cleaning and servicing work areas; supporting the movement of aircraft, vehicles, and ground support equipment; scheduling job flow via QuickBooks accounting software; providing administrative and housekeeping supplies to offices and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of Hangars 10 and 11 and surrounding grounds and parking areas. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to ensure availability of resources and proper support to flight personnel and maintenance technicians. Responsible for monitoring and helping the work force to observe and implement energy conservation.

Assumes basic Office Administrator reception duties in the absence of primary receptionist by receiving customers, communicating requirements to supervisors, and otherwise assisting fellow employees in accomplishing the company's daily activities.

Required Skills:

One (1) year in customer service or maintenance related job or honorable military service.

Skilled at using word processing and spreadsheet software.

Desired Skills:

Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting/logistics software.

Experience in managing inventories and supplies"

Job Functions:

Hold a valid Texas Driver's license (or able to obtain).

Able to perform labor tasks without assistance - lift and carry minimum of 50 pounds.

Capable of operating Ground Support Equipment such as aircraft towing and ground power units.
