This position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Provides support services to the participants of the Residence Program as part of the Outreach Program.
Develop and maintain appropriate treatment plan for all assigned cases.
Maintain clinical progress notes concerning client’s progress in individual, group and family therapy.
Assist in crisis situations with direct assessments, referrals for additional services, one-on-one supervision and discharge proceedings.
Assist in the upkeep and hygiene of the residents.
Attend community meetings as needed and represent the YMCA.
Promote recovery, empowerment and participation in community services.
HS/GED required. Some college in counseling, social work or related field preferred.
Six months prior work experience with the adult mental health population.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.
Excellent human relation skills, good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
