In this role you will provideClinical Development Medical Affairs leadership, strategy and expert insights for the CDMA digital transformation at GSK.
You will be The “face” of GSK CDMA Affairs in digital with external working groups (e.g. AdvaMed, International Medical Device Regulators Forum) and internally in project delivery/execution.
The Global Digital CDMA Lead sets a compelling vision and is attuned to market trends, CDMA trends and technologies relevant to the future of CDMA aspects of product delivery (digital, related innovations, medical electrical devices, etc.). Analyzes, evaluates, pioneers and pilots digital and analytical capabilities, business systems and processes required in CDMA. Networks internally and externally (incl. health agencies, clinical trial vendors, trade associations, consultants and partners) to amplify the CDMA strategy.

Define, pioneer and drive CDMA solutions to create strategies that maximize opportunities in GSK’s digital execution throughout lifecycle: innovation; post- launch consumer interfaces (data, claims, communications); retail implications (e.g. e commerce)
Development of Medical 'beyond the pill' (Drugs+/Digital) strategy with solutions that will improve consumer / patient experience for GSK products
Develop digital tools that could improve self-selection for the Rx to OTC Switch development programs
Develop digital tools that can be applied in clinical studies and development programs
Build product knowledge for GSK products that evolve from 'pill' to Drugs+ solutions and create the scientific messages, including health benefits
Driving the development of Medical Competencies by proficiently leveraging GSK's new digital capabilities
Close collaboration with the internal Drugs+ team and other internal stakeholders of the Digital Health ecosystem
Monitoring relevant evolving Drugs+ / Digital technologies
Establishing a strong external Drugs+ / Digital network, including start•ups and emerging digital industries
Close collaboration with the White Space function in Global Marketing and the White Space function in Global Regulatory
Develop novel CDMA strategies for both medical and wellness devices; shape new CDMA policy with global agencies when there aren’t established, adhere to clear CDMA pathways where they do exist.
Drive X-CH CDMA consistency and quality delivery through relevant training.
Act as a first point of CDMA contact for digital leaders in the company. Represents CDMA in appropriate forums and committees and fosters One CDMA voice.
Drive the quality of CDMA output across DIH and digital Category initiatives. Ensure that any new digital innovations comply with various industry standards.
Be an active member of the company’s (virtual) digital leadership team.
Shape the external CDMA environment in support of digital innovation, working with experts, stakeholders, and clinical trial vendors.
Be the leading expert on digital CDMA aspects within GSK. Global reach but with particular focus on US, China and EMEA.
Delivering on these responsibilities will require a highly collaborative working model: in particular, close collaboration with colleagues within CDMA,
with other functions and global business units at GSK, and with a network of external regulators and other industry colleagues
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Science with 5-10
A minimum of 3 years professional experience in digital solutions / digital health is required.
Proven experience in launching and developing digital solutions is required,
Digital expertise: track record of successful digital product CDMA delivery with examples of marketed medical and consumer devices in US & EU, track record of successful connected device (consisting of software, firmware, mechanical, device components, apps, etc.) launches, track record of successful partnerships with CDMA agencies to launch digital products in various markets, familiarity with agile methods, lifecycle management and managing CDMA relationship with vendors/partners.
Digital network and awareness/membership of relevant consortia
Track record of delivering results in a complex, multi-disciplinary, and international organization.
Understand project management processes and change management principles.
Deadline driven, both organized and detailed as required
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
PharmD or physician (M.D. or equivalent)
Board Certification/Qualification, in selected therapeutic area.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience within the Pharmaceutical industry is required, with strong leadership capabilities, self-learning attitude, product knowledge building capacity,
Comprehensive understanding of worldwide CDMA framework for medical and consumer products
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of latest tools and methods being used for digital products (i.e. agile systems, virtual development process’ for highly regulated devices)
Preferred CDMA strategy development experience: drug/device combinations; at-home diagnostics and understanding of the modern therapeutic opportunities within the medical device and wellness space
Strong strategic and policy thinker. Ability to lead, influence and implement strategic policies and decisions and engage collaboratively at all levels both internally and externally.
Thought leader in shaping the external environment. Comfortable challenging status quo, change agent. Comfortable with shaping CDMA strategies for new-to-world wearable technologies.
Ability to move fluidly from strategic to operational. Creative yet methodical in their approach.
