We have an opening for a Human Resources Generalist to work in partnership with managers and employees supporting our Cellulose facility in Perdue Hill, Alabama. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager this position will have the opportunity to work within an HR team to champion day to day and strategic human resource initiatives designed to drive continuous improvement of HR and site metrics.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Supports the HR Manager to deliver HR programs, services, and solutions within area of responsibility including employee relations, succession planning, performance management, and execution of incentive process.
Assists local leaders in the implementation of hourly talent strategies and onboarding that will improve the competitive standing of the business. Leads the collaboration with Talent Selection and hiring managers.
Accountable for identifying, prioritizing or responding to requests and issues resolution using HR tools and techniques within established timelines.
Conducts training, coaching, and counseling in support of the deployment and early acceptance of various HR program rollouts. Ensures communication, training, and adoption of such deployments.
Supports the advancement of MBM® capability in conversations with employees.
Participates in the identification and remediation of gaps in HR related risks.
Consults plant leadership to help them better understand HR policies and practices as well as for supervisor capability.
Resolves employee relations issues, using each issue as an opportunity to understand the true root cause and work with the human resources manager to develop a plan to resolve the root cause.
Guides the escalation and resolution of HR questions, issues, and requests to the appropriate channels (e.g. HR Service Center, HROS, etc.), by acting as a champion of the HR shared services delivery model.
Enable employees and supervisors at each plant to use self-service tools available to them
Serves as HR Compliance standard owner for each site.
Owns HR files at each site in accordance with RIM compliance.
Drives innovation and continuous improvement in HR functions and processes.
Provides data analysis and reporting solutions to business leaders, including creating and modifying formulas in Excel, manipulating and analyzing data.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
At least 2 years of Human Resources experience
Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
