Nemours is seeking a Talent Development Consultant (Full-Time), to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in either Orlando, Florida or Jacksonville, Florida.

Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.

This position is responsible for:

Consulting, designing and delivering solutions to leaders and associates that optimize performance and effectiveness at the individual, group and organization levels.  This individual is responsible for achieving desired business results via the identification, design, development, facilitation and implementation of Talent Development projects and programs in areas such as organizational effectiveness, leadership development, training and development, behavioral dynamics in the workplace, team development, organizational culture, talent review, change management and performance management. 

In alignment with organizational and development strategies, this position works in conjunction with the Director of Talent Development.

The Talent Development Consultant will drive a wide range of high-priority projects and support the coordination of cross-functional initiatives that ensure Nemours associates are provided with sustained professional growth and development opportunities. This position will focus on expanding programs, building relationships and contributing to the development of innovative tools that support Nemours’ strategic initiatives which aims to engage and develop talent enterprise wide. While responsibilities are dynamic in nature, examples of initiatives that this position will support include: talent review, leader training, physician development, just culture, change management, and evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of programs to sustain engagement and reach desired outcomes. 


  • Designs and facilitates workshops to support our leadership development programs

  • Acts as a thought leader regarding the design and execution of development and training programs.

  • Contributes thought leadership and innovation to programs (e.g., career pathways, job sharing) that include a blended learning approach such as mentorship, e-learning, classroom training and action learning.

  • Creates and implements proactive communication and marketing plans to increase awareness and participation in Talent Development programs.

  • Provides timely delivery of a range of consultation services to managers and supervisors on the development and implementation of strategies for creating and sustaining a high performing organization.

  • Serves as an internal consultant to leaders as they recognize, identify and resolve issues throughout the organization.  Obtains and maintains a deep understanding of organizational needs.

  • Identifies and uses instruments and surveys to analyze individual and group behavior, and recommends strategies for making needed change.

  • Provides individual coaching as required to help create high performance for individuals and teams.

  • Facilitates, supports and consults on endeavors to engender organizational values and the creation of the Nemours culture.

  • Provides coaching and facilitation in change management, organization effectiveness and performance issues.

  • Delivers HR and Talent Development-related training, including facilitation and computer based learning media Works in partnership with the HR Business Partners and management to orchestrate cultural and change initiatives that address the organization's strategies and goals.

  • Assesses risk associated with change initiative projects and suggests and implements actions to manage any negative impacts.

  • Prepares recommendations to leadership on new program proposals.

Job Requirements


  • Master's Degree required.

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience required.

  • Coaching certification, Zenger-Folkman certification preferred.

  • Ability to conduct an assessment, formulates a diagnosis, and implement interventions to improve the work environment.

  • Ability to facilitate group exercises and deliver exceptional training.

  • Ability to provide individual coaching and/or counseling around career development, improving individual workplace performance, personal development and talent review.
