Job Purpose

The Copywriter will work with internal Creative Marketing team to create compelling customer facing collateral. The writer will establish tone, messaging, and storylines to drive product growth initiatives and enhance overall customer experience.



Key Accountabilities

Responsible for a variety of writing projects include quarterly customer newsletter, customer emails, prints ads and a wide variety of collateral.

Works directly with Creative Services on writing, editing and final production of projects

Active Member of the creative round table. Participate and contribute to new ideas and offers valuable feedback

Stays on top of trends in advertising and branding to bring fresh content ideas to the team

Proofread and copy edit print and digital copy, including PowerPoints, websites, banner ads, emails, and meeting materials.

Ensure that all materials adhere to brand style and tone

Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Research primary data sources and select relevant information to develop breakthrough customer communications.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and business partners relevant to own area of expertise to share best practice and understand and challenge business decisions.

Conduct the necessary analysis and interpretation of data to support business decisions that will promote growth opportunities while mitigating risks.

Understand customer segmentation data and unique regional issues to develop successful customer communications.



Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5-8 years short-form & long-form writing experience. Utility background preferred.
  • Solid grammar, editing and proofreading capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret information and analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation to clearly articulate the findings and anticipating obstacles and thinks ahead about next steps.
  • Proficient the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized and ability to multi-task
