To ensure the system and network infrastructure is functioning efficiently and that there are no breaches in the security system. To monitor underlying communications protocols and supporting network hardware. Administer and oversee network implementation and troubleshooting. This includes managing the network hubs, servers, desktops and laptops. Assists users in system operations and corrects malfunctions or breakdown promptly. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Small level project management • Install and support Desktops, Laptops, provision Cell Phones and mobile devices. • Support Optel Serialization equipment in Manufacturing environment • Peripheral devices, including printers, copiers and scanners • Install telephones (Mitel) • Support the Microsoft office suite • Support Active Directory • Assist in installing and supporting appropriate security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data • Perform regular tests to ensure integrity of systems • Ensure, virus protection, patches are up-to-date • Create images for Laptops, Desktops and VMs • Use Dell KACE helpdesk for ticket tracking and management of PC’s • Develops user guides procedures, schedules and compliance related documentation • System backups, check log files, change tapes • Maintain equipment inventory • Review system logs and records daily • Provide recommendations and input on software/hardware selection • Additional duties as assigned by Manager

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Knowledge of all current Windows operating systems * Knowledge of Telephony equipment VOIP on Mitel * Solid understanding of Ethernet/LAN/WAN/IP networking software and hardware * Strong PC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required * Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook desktop programs * Ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel to solve network problems * Required availability: * To be on call * To work long hours if necessary in case of serious system/network service interruption * Demonstrated analytical, written and oral communication skills in the English language * Detail oriented * Comfortable with multi-tasking * Excellent follow through * VMWare experience a plus * MS Powershell experience a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* A Bachelors Degree or Equivalent experience/education relative to the position * Must have a minimum of six years experience in system/network/security administration desired
