Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Global Marketing Manager to join our Pressure Sensitive Adhesives business at our Dublin, Ohio office. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Adhesives business. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing & Business Management.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Market trends analysis and assessment, and competitive analysis for the segment and associated product lines

  • Gathering voice of customer and market needs (CTQs), feeding the front end of the innovation/growth technology project pipeline

  • Working in partnership with Technology/R&D, Sales & Product Management in moving projects through the innovation/growth product development stage gate process, including updates on market,  financials, etc.

  • Develops and communicates customer application economics

  • Organizes new product launches, including defining value propositions, value pricing, salesforce training and sales tool development in collaboration with the regional teams

  • Conducting New Product Gate 6 post launch project reviews

  • Developing marketing and customer communication strategies and plans, including trade show strategy and participation, promotional literature, press releases, social media, etc. in collaboration with Marcomm and Sales teams

  • M&A candidate identification, evaluation and collaboration

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 5 years sales/marketing experience in a marketing role in a B2B environment

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:


  • Master degree

  • In depth knowledge of the pressure sensitive adhesives market and product lines

  • Marketing Skills – market exploration & analysis, competitive & market attractiveness assessment, and ability to clearly define value propositions

  • Strategy Development & Implementation

  • Project Management – coordination of multifunctional teams and experience driving projects through the innovation stage gate process; financial analysis

  • Interpersonal and Communication skills – ability to interact and network with people at different levels in the organization, internal and external; ability to prepare and present business cases and projects to various levels in the organization

  • Experience launching products, including clear communication of benefits, sales tools development and salesforce training
