This position is responsible for the management of the budget/forecasting data base (including departmental, plant budgets and foreign business units). Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly President’s Operating Reports (POR), and assisting in preparation of quarterly President’s Council and the annual Financial Review and Profitability Review exhibit packages. Responsibilities include updating budgets monthly, and comparing, researching and explaining variances in actual results to expected. This job also requires analysis of financial data for managerial reporting and decision making.


  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of the principal forecasting packages to Emerson Corporate: monthly President’s Operating Report including Hyperion input, Annual Profitability Review exhibit package, Annual Financial Review and quarterly President Council exhibit packages

  • Coordinate preparation of Manufacturing Support budgets including: annual budget preparation, review and analysis and consolidation, comparing actual results to prior periods or expected, including researching and explaining variances, updating budgets monthly

  • Assist in preparation of the monthly consolidated operational P & L statement

  • Assist in the preparation of Product Line Profitability reporting

  • Calculate, record, analyze and forecast Customer Rebates and Discounts

  • Development and documentation of processes and analysis for new product activities

  • Various miscellaneous projects/reports for Controller, V.P. of Finance and other management as the need arises.

  • Follow all appropriate White-Rodgers policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications 

  • BS in Accounting

  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to utilize various database software packages

  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills are required as position requires interaction with all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MBA and/or CPA certificate 

  • Hyperion and Oracle software experience
