As the Intermodal Sales Associate at XPO Logistics, you will be responsible for growing our domestic and international business by providing competitive pricing quotes to customers. You will focus on identifying new customers and cultivating additional opportunities with current clients. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Seek new business on a daily basis; enter accurate and detailed call notes into Salesforce.com

  • Ensure appropriate pricing guidelines and data are being used to achieve maximum targeted profits per load

  • Provide spot quotes for Intermodal customers

  • Generate leads and increase new customer accounts to meet key metrics

  • Understand the transportation marketplace to competitively quote and secure shipments

  • Perform pipeline management, including following up on pricing quotes to receive customer feedback and sharing that feedback with terminals

  • Partner with the customer service group to drive and improve service when needed

  • Initiate service improvement meetings and calls; monitor service improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Associate degree in Business or related field

  • 3 years of sales experience

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field

  • 3 or more years of sales experience in the logistics industry
