WHO YOU ARE


The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for fully supporting the facility HR functions, with special emphasis on volume recruiting.  This position reports directly to the VP HR, with dotted line to the Plant Manager.


 


WHERE YOU WILL WORK


In our Grantsville, Maryland manufacturing facility


WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Cross train in the various subdepartments such as staffing, benefits, training, and employee relations in order to be able to interpret policy and provide general coverage in all areas of Human Resources.

  • Full cycle Recruiting:

 



  • Develop effective recruitment strategy to expedite filling openings.

  • Responsible for all internal and external communications regarding position openings.

  • Research and implement effective outreach programs to assist with diversity goals and recruitment efforts.

  • Review applications and resumes to determine qualifications and appropriate match of applicants to position.

  • Responsible for coordinating pre-employment references, physical checks and drug screens.

  • Conduct new hire orientation.

  • Familiarize new hires with work environment, expectations and general working rules.

  • Participate in company and community activities and programs.

  • Maintain Employee Data, including day to day changes, wage increases and performance evalutations and provides information to authorized persons.

  • Conduct employee exit interviews and communicate specific issues to Management.

  • In partnership with Corporate, manage employee FMLA, STD and other leave programs.

  • Administer employee benefits and resolve employee benefit questions.

  • Make sure facility is in legal compliance with federal and state law Proactively address Employee Relations issues through cutlure management, leadership training, and active employee communciations.

  • Investigate incidents and provide corrective action recommendations as needed.

 


 


Requirements


 



  • Bachelors Degree in related field

  • 5-10 years of related work experience.

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  

  • Exceptional analytical, multi-tasking and data interpretation skills.

  • Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality. 

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with changing priorities 

  • Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to proactively deal with all levels of management, as well as front-line employees.   

  • Must possess the ability to make large group presentations.

  • Must be self-motivated, with the ability to be managed remotely

  • Ability to be flexible and represent HR on all shifts.
