Claim Non-legal Vendor Management Leader

At Chubb, a Claim Vendor Management Team manages all vendor relationships for North America. This team is differentiated between management of Non-legal and legal vendors. This position will be the Vendor Management Leader for the Non-legal team.  The team is structured around the management of indemnity vendors and expense vendors, and operate across all lines of business. The team’s objective is to maximize the performance of our vendor relationships through the establishment of rigorous metrics and service standards, and to drive cost savings across all spend areas. The team works with the claim disciplines to manage against these objects to optimize usage and performance.

The Claim Non-legal Vendor Manager will be responsible to:

  • Leading a team of Vendor Management professional dedicated the management and oversight of the vendor relationships for Chubb’s North American Claim Operations

  • Working with the claim disciplines to establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all vendor categories

  • Establish metrics and scorecards to measure vendor performance

  • Utilize claim specific platform such as CCC and Xactanalysis to develop real time vendor management reporting  on performance and service delivery

  • Work with the claim disciplines to  negotiation rates and to move new vendor to contracting

  • Interface with the Claim disciplines to maximized the benefits of the vendor engagements

  • Drive savings across vendor spend categories

  • Identify changes in technology as well as new vendor offerings in the marketplace and bring them to the disciplines to evaluate for potential adoption

  • Lead the RFP (Request for Proposals ) process for new vendors and establish pilots with those vendors as necessary

  • Lead the efforts to expand the utilization of the T360 e-billing platform across the claim disciplines to manage and optimize vendor spend

The ideal candidate for this position brings strong technical experience in a given line of business, and experience in the utilization and management of vendor relationships. Knowledge of the role vendors play within the existing organization is key, as well as a broad understanding of who the primary players are that operate in their respective technical claim areas.  Project management experience is highly desirable.

As the leader of the Non-legal Vendor Management Team, this role is strategically focused. The ideal candidate will need to be able to look at the current use of vendors and develop future state utilization and process improvement in collaboration with the Claim disciplines to maximize the benefits of engaging vendors. The key focus will be to drive performance, customer satisfaction and cost management.  This leader will collaborate with key stakeholders to move concepts to action plans, and then ultimately to execution in a fast and efficient manner. As the role will work closely with subject matter experts within the respective claim disciplines, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills will be critical.

Travel is required in the role with the overall travel load estimated at approximately 50%.
