SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in treating, preparing and painting materials and products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to the following.
Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
Confers with supervisors and leads of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products and department special projects.
Verifies or prepares records such as MDR and paint work orders.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations, maintain CPR and First Aid cert.
Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties.
Works with Supervisor to establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Manages paint inventory i.e ordering stock and custom paints, cycle counting, stock paint volume control and paint kan ban audits and control.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Manages paint quality testing and recordkeeping of the testing data.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains production records.
Conducts departmental meetings regarding safety, department changes, and company communications.
Can perform all duties of those within his department including PM's.
Enter daily Bolton entries as required.
Minimum computer knowledge required for paint issuing, work order transferring and E-Mail communications.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
One to six months related work experience is preferred (leadership duties).
Ability to effectively communicate with employees, peers, and supervisors.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with and respond to problems in work situations.
