Job Description:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Test new product prototype assemblies and help with external beta site testing.
  • Ability to write comprehensive laboratory test reports including data reduction and analysis.
  • Ability to prepare software validation documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of circuit boards and electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to fabricate test fixtures, cable assemblies, and wire electrical control panels.
  • Works and communicates effectively in a team environment and is an individual contributor.
  • Troubleshoot control systems, prepare troubleshooting guides, and provide field support when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. The required qualifications are as follows:
  • BSEE, or Electrical Technology Degree with 2 years' experience, or equivalent military technical training
  • Technical role with at least 2 years of experience in a laboratory or factory environment testing and troubleshooting control systems, circuit analysis, and electronic equipment repair.
  • Fundamental understanding of electronic circuits and able to read and prepare electrical circuit schematic diagrams.
  • Must have detailed understanding of data collection methods and formal test report preparation.
  • Familiarity programming in C and with the software validation process.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW test software and printed circuit board layout software is a plus.
  • Familiarity programming and using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Familiarity with industrial control networks.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Methodical and logical process oriented.
  • Resourceful in gathering and retrieving information from both internal and external sources.
  • Excellent work ethic and a team player.
  • Good organizational skills as well as data and information management skills for future retrieval.
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle several projects at one time.
