What you will do

Oversees the delivery of highly-available Information Technology Services to Channel Sales and Operation within the Building Technologies & Services Global Products business unit.  Oversees the Release, Quality Assurance, and System Integration of the Selection Navigator Platform.  Assists the Selection Navigator PMO is overseeing providing timely release.  Works across multiple agile teams to develop and implement sound release management practices.   


How you will do it

  1. Responsible for Selection Navigator software release processes and procedures

  2. Interface and work with Program Management and others to build dashboards and metrics around software release activities and defects

  3. Assume accountability for software release activities on Selection Navigator platform.

  4. Oversees and coordinates software release activities, often during non-business hours.

  5. Establish and enforce sound software release practices, including formal release calendar

  6. Interface and work with program and business leaders on identifying and implementing business process improvements.

  7. Oversees and coordinates integration testing on Selection Navigator Platform.

  8. Develop and enforce formal defect reporting and triage process.

  9. Ensure program is compliant with formal IT change management practices.

  10. Establish and maintain relationships with other formal QA and Release Management practices with JCI.

What we look for


Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.  Masters Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility within Information Technology Proven quality focus in providing customer-driven products, services, and solutions.  Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and to lead others in a directed effort to complete projects.

Strong English skills required. 

Strong communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.

Experience in formal IT Governance

Experience overseeing formal release management activities across multiple software development teams.

Primary Work Location:  70-100%

Regional & International Travel:  20-30%
