Currently, we are seeking a talented Annuity Marketing Specialist to join the Retirement Solutions Division based in Newport Beach, California. The Retirement Solutions Division leverages its strengths in product development, technology, services and risk management to create retirement solutions for individuals, families, and businesses. With the guidance of financial professionals, customers have access to an array of an array of annuities and mutual funds designed to help grow assets and to provide retirement income for financial independence.

Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and creative Marketing Specialist to expand our company s thought leadership, and annuity brand marketing. In this role you will help develop campaigns to simplify complex financial topics, and should be familiar with using storytelling, journey mapping, and customer segmentation. You will assist in the development of new marketing collateral, including research, drafting of creative briefs, and communicating vision and objectives to marketing partners. You should engage in proactive thought leadership and visionary marketing to stay ahead of competitors and deliver best in class marketing support. Campaigns will be focused on retirement solutions using annuity products. In addition to collaborating with the marketing teams, this position is responsible for managing relationships with Copywriters, Digital, Web, and other areas outside of Product Marketing on content development. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works closely with the Product Marketing, Digital, and Creative Services Teams to develop content for brochures, presentations, and digital communications such as website, emails, videos, and blogs that take complex financial topics and simplifies them for the financial advisor and consumer audience. (35%)

Develop marketing communication plans and establish project timelines to ensure delivery of all projects. (25%)
*

Oversee the day-to-day project management of the campaign. Help review drafts, and represent Product Marketing in meetings regarding the project and or will lead certain project meetings. (20%)
*

Collaborate with other departments (such as Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Print/Fulfillment, Compliance, Legal) to build marketing campaign strategies and ensure timely execution (20%)

Factors for Success:

*

5-7 years in marketing, content creation, campaign development, or similar role.
*

BA in marketing, journalism, sociology or equivalent field a plus.
*

FINRA Series 6 license required. Must get license within 90 days of FINRA registration.
*

Strong knowledge of financial industry.
*

Experience in researching and developing content.
*

Knowledge of storytelling, journey mapping, audience segmentation.
*

Skilled at building marketing campaigns.
*

Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques.
*

Comfortable independently making decisions.
*

Relates well to a diverse set of colleagues and builds constructive and effective relationships. Can motivate project members who are not direct reports.
*

Works well in a fast-paced environment, can handle multiple projects at once and effectively uses resources at his/her disposal.
*

Can effectively manage and communicate change, and motivate teams on revised or new direction.
