Nemours is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and fully engaged Contracts Administrator (CA) to join our Legal Department in Wilmington, Delaware.  The qualified candidate we are seeking is an experienced, self-starter who can work independently in a growing and dynamic environment. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment, remain flexible, and effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of Nemours Associates across our enterprise.  

The role of Contracts Administrator will be responsible for the proactive management, oversight and tracking of moderate to high risk contracts and assigned projects/programs on behalf of The Nemours Foundations.  Prior to attorney review, the CA will conduct the necessary due diligence and serve as a point of contact to Nemours internal Associates, outside counsel, and external vendors for all assigned projects, programs, and requests. This role involves independent judgement, business acumen, data analysis, financial and risk identification as well as proactive issue identification and resolution. This role will hold in highest regard the protection of Nemours’ legal, regulatory and financial interests.  The CA must ensure that all requests for contracts and proposed business transactions are based on sound business and regulatory practices and policies and procedures of Nemours.


  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare contracting experience - legal or related department - including negotiation, preparation, review, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of contracts and other legal documents; supply chain/vendor management; and demonstrating competency and the working knowledge and understanding of contract lifecycle management and the contracting environment, including the broader marketplace.

  • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare marketplace.

  • Experience with the negotiation of contracts in hospital, physician, third party vendor or ancillary medical services areas and/or relevant industry related experience is highly desirable.

  • Healthcare experience managing strategic and complex projects and initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Finance) , MBA preferred
