As an Innovation Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
As an integrator between business problems and technology solutions; the Innovation Engineer will function as a system integration and field engineer. This requires a broad range of skills and a breadth of knowledge rather than a depth of knowledge. The skills and knowledge base required include data analytics, data information systems and architecture, software and hardware engineering, interface protocols, general problem-solving skills and communicating between business teams and external resources. Many of the problems to be solved have not been solved before and will include new and challenging problems with an input from a broad range of engineers, technical, operations, maintenance, data and technical resources.
The system integration engineer works as a solution building team facilitator and "pulls it all together." This requires the ability to effectively communicate with non-technical and technical persons; acting as a translator, ensuring the two-way communication between the problem owner(s) and solution builder(s) are clear and aligned.
The Innovation Engineer will be responsible to assist the organization in recognizing solution opportunities, right size solutioning, transferring the knowledge to own the solution to business owners.
In addition to primary role responsibilities, the Innovation Engineer will function as a PII team member and support team initiatives and function as a Team Lead or Team Member on non-system integrator related Value Creation Events.
