Storeroom Clerk – Darlington SC

If so, then we may have the job for you!  Our Dixie® Maintenance team in Darlington, SC, has an opening for a Storeroom Clerk to provide tactical coordination to support the Darlington, SC Mill storeroom replenishment functions and related inventory management.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

• Working with multiple teams, customers, and suppliers to optimize inventory availability and carrying costs

• Sustaining progressive Customer Focus and Value Creation focus in and beyond the department
• Prioritizing compliance in inventory accuracy, financial controls, and other tasks

• Issuing and, when necessary, expediting purchase orders
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping, organized storage layout, and efficient parts flow

• Proactively seeking out and suggesting process improvements to Operations and Maintenance

• Actively participating in the mill safety program and strictly adhering to safety guidelines



What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word (i.e. creating documents), Excel (i.e. creating spreadsheets, utilizing formulas, & analyzing data), and Outlook (i.e. scheduling meeting invites & emailing)

  • Experience working as part of a multifunctional team and performing work with minimal supervision and guidance

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, stores or inventory management, military operations, or parts warehouse

  • Willing and able perform physical tasks for extended periods of time - sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders/stairs, working at heights

  • Willing and able to lift at least 50 pounds


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with (CMMS)-Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as MP2 or SAP

  • Experience communicating with individuals at all levels within an organization and internal/external customers

  • Experience facilitating improvement in processes and physical work environment

  • Customer Service experience in a business to business setting

  • Knowledge of Stockroom policies and procedures, i.e.; issuing parts and repair/return process

  • Experience utilizing organizational skills to file paperwork, manage Outlook inbox, and answer and place vendor and/or internal customer calls
