GPI is seeking a motivated entry level Water Resources Engineer to help further the growth and development of GPI's H&H presence in Maryland and the region. Opportunities for advancement are available. Experience with Maryland state, county, and municipal clients is advantageous.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • Engineer-in-Training certification preferred
  • 0 to 5 Years' of Experience

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform drainage design under guidance of senior engineer
  • Attend field visits for data collection and observation
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic calculations as instructed
  • Assist with stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design
  • Aid in detailing and drafting plans and writing reports
  • Gain experience in modeling software such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS
  • Work independently and within a team under supervision
  • Complete tasks within assigned schedule and budget
  • Work in Microstation and/or AutoCAD to produce deliverables

Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to read and understand plans and direction given in the English language
  • Ability to write in English
  • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Word documents
    • Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Excel documents
    • Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Exchange emails with attachments
