Location: Clemson, South Carolina
Full/Part Time Full-Time
Serves as contract coordinator for roofing and pest control. Coordinates all work of pest control and roofing contracts, maintaining project status and completion date. Stays abreast and keeps contractors in compliance with University policies and procedures regarding pest control and roofing. Ensures compliance with all applicable environmental. OSHA and other safety regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
60% - Essential - Roofing Management: Prepares Roof Contract in detail for bidding. Screens work orders to comply with planning and scheduling, routing high-priority or urgent work orders directly to the appropriate shop for immediate action. Determines level of planning required. Performs basic designs and prepares estimates and material take-offs for project and work-order requests. Assists in roof inspections and works with contractor to ensure all work is completed accordingly. Develops and maintains a comprehensive listing of all roofs and exterior building conditions. Ensures list is updated annually. Communication & Customer Service is top priority.
30% - Essential - Pest Control Management: Prepares Pest Control Contract for bidding. Screens work orders to comply with planning and scheduling, routing high-priority or urgent work orders directly to the appropriate shop for immediate action. Determine level of planning required. Works with pest control contract personnel to ensure PMs for work are completed on or before date requested. Ensures all contract personnel perform duties in professional manner. Develops an annual plan for pest control projects based on previous inspections and priorities. Be able to explain within reason why pesticides can and cannot be sprayed in various places. Ensures animal control on campus. This includes trapping & removing from the campus.
10% - Essential - Safety: Maintains a safe workplace and safe work practices. Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA safety mandates and enforcement of Clemson's LOTO policy. Complies with all applicable EPA and DHEC rules and manages MSDA/SDS program.
A high school diploma and trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
Licenses - Driver's License Class D normal
