Hearst’s Enthusiast Group—Runner's World, Bicycling, and Popular Mechanics—is seeking a Features Editor. Working with the Features Director, this person will be responsible for overseeing the origination, planning, creation, editing, and distribution of deep-engagement content across all channels of the Enthusiast brands—including web, print, video, and social.
As a senior member of the features team, our Features Editor is responsible for the execution of stories that draw immense audiences, generate acclaim within and beyond our endemic community, and gain recognition and generate revenue for the brands through awards, product extensions, adaptations, and other means. The Features Editor is expected to work with best-in-class writers, photographers, and creators while hitting budget and deadline targets. The ideal candidate combines a deep editing and writing background with an affinity for running and cycling, as well as an innate curiosity for how the world works. Must have 5 years of relevant professional experience at a consumer magazine or major website.
