The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, planning and implementing technology solutions to achieve Global Markets Risk IT strategic directives and industry/regulatory mandates. The individual will be responsible for directing business and technology counterparts across global sites as a solution owner and use their knowledge of risk analytics, front office trading and valuation, the industry and key risk related issues, and the system development lifecycle methodology to direct the execution of complex projects throughout their life cycle.
Interpret Key industry initiatives including FRTB and SCCL and drive solution roadmaps
Lead very complex and challenging business/system requirements deliverables by facilitating an end to end analysis process.
Drive the analysis of current processes/analytics and recommend solutions and improved processes.
Document key solution approaches and rational, oversee the formation of requirements and other project related documents that are required to drive implementation.
Work with the project team to develop and manage project plans including issue resolution and risk mitigation
Consult with users, developers, testers, and implementation specialists.
Instruct, guide and supervise project team in the resolution of issues, risks and impediments.
Partner with technology and business managers providing overall strategic leadership in developing Solutions.
Level of Education / Qualifications:
Advanced degree in technology, math, finance, business or equivalent.
Skills and Experience:
At least 10+ years of related professional front-office / front office risk/ financial services and experience.
Expert knowledge of Marker Risk, Credit Risk and the risk oversight of trading businesses.
Background in software implementation in the Financial Services industry.
Proven experience implementing financial systems using standardized SDLC methodologies and tools (e.g. AGILE).
Experience working in an environment managing multiple, concurrent projects with shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
