Job Description:

Scope and Authority

Reporting Relationships
  • Report to : Maintenance Supervisor
  • Supervises : N/A




Understand the importance of conformance with the environmental policy relevant procedures and the requirements of the EMS (Environmental Management System).

Understand the environmental impacts associated with their work activities and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance.

Understand their role in achieving conformance with the environmental policy, relevant procedures, and the requirements of the EMS, including preparedness and response.

Understand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures.

Immediately report any accidents and release to the Supervisor.

Recognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, health and safety is a condition of employment.

Comply with all environmental, safety, and health rules, policies, and programs established by the company to the extent of training received.


Providing customers with products and services that meet or exceed their expectations. This will be achieved through:
  • Establishment of meaningful and measurable quality objectives that are subject to regular management review
  • Use of a quality management system that is primarily based on prevention rather than detection, and
  • Continued improvement of processes at all levels of the organization



Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe in commercial or industrial establishments, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Cleans and lubricates, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes, and grease gun.
  • Lay out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • General housekeeping, cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
  • May install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications.
  • May install, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots.
  • May set up and operate machine tools, grinder, drill, repair or fabricate machine parts, jogs and fixtures, and tools.
  • May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Communications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience
  • Education : High School Graduate, College Degree a plus, Trade School
  • Professional experience : 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment and 1-2 years in the maintenance field
  • Languages : English
  • Know-how : Trouble shoot and repair industrial machinery; ability to fabricate and weld
