The Teller floater provides excellent customer service through accurate processing of deposits, withdraws and other necessary customer transactions offered by the bank. This position will require travel between banking centers as needed to support the teller line .
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between bank locations on an as needed basis to support the teller line needs of the bank.
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount and examines checks for proper endorsements.
Cashes Checks and provides cash back to the customer after verification of signatures and customer balances.
Enters customer transactions into computer to record transactions and issue computer generated receipts.
Follows proper bank check hold guidelines for deposits of uncollected funds.
Ability to handle with discretion large amounts of cash.
Balances currency and coin daily and at the end of shift.
Explains, promotes, refers and sells products and services to customers during customer transactions.
Ability to perform basic maintenance on customer accounts including ordering checks, updating addresses and phone numbers and ordering debit cards.
Provides excellent customer service to all customers and co-workers assisting them with their needs and/or referring them to the appropriate department.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Follows all compliance policies and procedures.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); a minimum of three years of teller experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle and resolve issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer programs.
