Assist with all financial accounting and internal financial reporting activities of the International subsidiaries of the Company. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial statement close for the international subsidiaries.

  • Oversee internal reporting function which includes but is not limited to financial statements, consolidations, and monthly package.

  • Streamline and improve processes over closing and internal reporting.

  • Prepare analysis of the financial statements on a monthly basis.

  • Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.

  • Oversee the Quarterly reviews and Year- end audit.

  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly analytics for external audit process.

  • Assist with Sarbanes Oxley documentation and test requirements.

  • Oversee the completion and review of the month-end close.

  • Manage multiple projects as directed by the Corporate Controller or Chief Accounting Officer.

  • Oversee and review the work performed by Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Manager.

  • Oversee local statutory books.

  • Coordinate with local Finance Managers and their teams as well as local Accounting firms.

  • Ensure compliance with all SBA policies and procedures.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with SEC reporting including streamlining process.

  • Assist with integrating financial reporting with internal reporting and budgeting models.

  • Improve overall cash flow modeling.

  • Assist in quarterly and annual forecasting of SBA.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing employees.

  • Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

  • Coach, mentor and develop employees, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.

  • Empower employees to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.

  • Create a culture that is consistent with the organizations focus on employee engagement and that aligns with the organizations mission, vision and guiding principles.

  • Lead employees using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.

  • Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

Education and/ or Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field of study required.

  • 10+ years’ accounting experience required. Public company and public accounting firm experience preferred.

  • 5+ year’s years’ experience in management of people and/or process with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of managerial duties in staffing, training and development, performance management and employee relations.

  • Real Estate/ Property Management or construction accounting experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with Great Plains and Hyperion Financial Management or comparable software preferred.

Language Skills: 

  •  Bilingual in English and Spanish required.   

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, whether orally or written.

Mathematical Skills: 

  • Ability to work with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference.


Reasoning Ability: 

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid U.S. Passport for Domestic & International travel.

  • CPA preferred.
