What You'll Do
As a Solution Architect, you will help set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develop, modify, and execute software test strategies, plans and suites. You will analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.


  • Develops strategy and technology roadmaps for software quality assurance across multiple platforms and products in the Global Business Unit and company at large.

  • Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision- making at the highest organizational levels.

  • Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for software development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures.

  • Guides and mentors less- experienced staff members to set an example of software quality assurance innovation and excellence.

  • Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

  • Typically 10+ years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with Cloud products/IaaS (AWS, Azure, GCP environments)

  • Strong hands on experience in Virtualization (VMware/KVM/HyperV)

  • Experience with data center automation (Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, CFEngine, Altiris, HPSA/Opsware)

  • Application Performance Monitoring expertise – Response time metrics, Application identification

  • Strong competence in Layer2, Layer3 networking protocols such as Bridging, VLAN, NAT, DHCP, Routing

  • Expert in Security protocols such as 802.1x, 802.11i, AAA, TACACS, IPSEC, Firewalls

  • Substantial Solution and System level test experience

  • Experience with designing large campus, enterprise customer deployments

  • Demonstrated understanding of industry standard testing and troubleshooting tools including IxChariot, iperf, Veriwave, Omnipeek, AirMagnet, Spectrum analysis

  • Solid understanding of Wi-Fi system level test and characterization.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with 802.11 standards and protocols.

  • Hands of experience on with Test automation development using Python

  • Industry expert regarding development of software quality assurance tools and languages.

  • History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software quality assurance.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Experience in overall architecture of software across multiple platforms and products.

  • Designing and integrating quality assurance processes for software running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.
