To deliver this change we have a dedicated team of designers, engineers, and analysts. Moving into the future, we want to recruit the next generation of the best and brightest tech grads. The programme bridges talented tech graduates with our existing global team of healthcare experts. Using your unique knowledge and technical know-how you will bring fresh thinking, and even some disruption to GSK ways of working. On the 18-month programme you will work alongside industry experts, gain technical experience and training. You will innovate, collaborate and accelerate our business strategy leveraged off advanced digital, data and analytics capability.
You will get plenty of support from the programme to help reach your potential and you will not be alone. You will have senior leader sponsorship and you will be joining an international community of like-minded graduate techies who help shape and run the programme. Some of recent graduates have helped run global tech debates with external leading experts, produced podcasts, facilitated learnathons, managed internal ted-talks and organised hackathons. You will build relationships across the company, inside and outside of the tech. So, at the end of the 18 month programme you can pursue your areas of interest, depending on the business need and availability of roles. To give accelerated development opportunities, we expect graduates to be geographically mobile The US Tech teams are primarily based in the following locations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Raleigh, North Carolina.
DESIGN. We have an incredible design team in place at GSK. Their emphasis on Design Thinking is already shaping the way that work is being done, putting the user experience at the forefront of all our processes.
Although a lot of our design efforts are currently focusing on digital applications, we need to have expertise in taking that same design thinking into areas yet unexplored in Healthcare. For example, we envision a future where your skill set will be needed to design spaces in AR/VR that might be an asset for our scientists in R+D. For most of the products our engineers are writing, we need designers working alongside of them to make sure our products are usable and beautiful, not just functional.
Our team is currently involved in building out APIs that allows current employee developers and technology partners to build new experiences for GSK customers and partners. In the future, we believe that will be used by developers anywhere to create innovative experiences for GSK customers and partners. Written into these tools, we need to make sure that UI/UX is also scalable and written into these resources.
We need people with the following:
Eye for Detail: You are a designer who creates thoughtful interactions that will delight customers. You obsess about the details, but you understand the implications on the big picture.
Customer Advocate: People who experience your designs feel like you really know them. You’re passionate about user research and seek to elevate the customer’s needs above your own preferences.
Design Thinker: You lead human-centered design activities that frame business and customer problems. You prototype low-fidelity ways of solving problems, and design experiences that can scale to serve millions of customers.
Data Analyst: You work with interdisciplinary teams to find metrics to measure your designs against business needs. You seek out analytics and user testing data to help guide future design decisions, and you iterate on your past design decisions with a focus on continuous improvement.
Storyteller: Perhaps you have a journalism background, or worked on a school newspaper in the past. Whatever the case may be, you are passionate about telling a story and excel at getting a message across.
• Bachelor's degree or military experience
• At least 2 years of experience in digital design
• At least 1 year of experience in UX design with data visualization and data-driven
• At least 2 years of experience in design software such as InVision, Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe
CC and similar tools
• At least 1 year of experience performing user testing
• Bachelor's degree
• A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies
• A solid portfolio of successful past projects
• At least 1 years as an active user of Design Thinking methodology
• At least 1 years of service design
• At least 1 year on a team engaged in end-to-end design processes
• At least 1 year participating and driving user research agendas
